Steve grew up in Nebraska with a strong connection to his family’s farm developing a passion for the outdoors, and for hunting both big and small game. This led Steve to focus his attention on natural resource management and a bachelor’s degree in wildlife management from the University of Nebraska. Since, he has worked for over 20 years in wildlife management, moving to Steamboat Springs in 1996. For 18 years Steve worked as a District Wildlife Manager with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, in the Steamboat Springs and Hayden areas.  Steve had also worked closely over this time with Wolf Mountain Ranch and Lonny Vanatta where he developed an excellent relationship with the ranch owner and staff.

Lonny grew up in Steamboat Springs in the 1960s where he became one of the most accomplished alpine ski racers on the US Ski Team and on the Pro tour. He was inducted to the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame in 2018. Lonny has been in the outfitting business for 30+ years in Northwest Colorado. An accomplished hunter, Lonny has taken over 100 animals with a bow including 17 that qualified for Pope & Young record books. In 1989 he took a world record Stone Sheep. Lonny completed his “grand slam” of sheep in 2013. His passion for the outdoors and hunting shows in every facet of the business that he built, to the property that we hunt. It would be hard to find any other outfitter who puts the effort into hunter satisfaction as Lonny.  As Lonny says, “We don’t do this for the money, we do it for the lifestyle.”

Andrew Crockett

Andrew was born in New Hampshire where at the young age of 10 he discovered, with his father’s help, his passion for hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Andrew pursued these interests through attending the Colorado Outdoor Adventure Guide School where he became certified in big game hunting, fly fishing, horsemanship, video and photography, map and compass, and orienteering. In 2011 Andrew moved to Steamboat Springs Colorado. He has continued his pursuit to make his passion for the outdoors his career by guiding snowmobile tours into the Routt National Forest and currently as a hunting guide with One80 Outfitters. When Andrew is not hunting, you’ll find him hiking, snowmobiling, fishing, or skiing.

Kirk Gardner

Kirk grew up on the Western Slope of Colorado and has spent much of his life camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing in Northwestern Colorado. Through a diverse career path Kirk has worked in law enforcement for the last 19-years, and has earned many accreditations including his Master Firearms Instructor certification. Kirk’s hobbies include building guns, ammunition reloading, and long-range shooting. His enthusiasm for hunting started at an early age, and he is an accomplished archery and rifle hunter of all types of North American game.  Come hunt with Kirk and One80 Outfitters and share in his passion to make your big game hunt the most exciting and memorable you’ve experienced.

Silas is a Routt county native and has lived in the Steamboat Springs area for 36 years. He grew up in Clark Colorado on a family ranch running cattle, hunting both big and small game and fishing. His passion for hunting and the outdoors began at a very young age, shooting his first game at age 13. Silas enjoys everything the outdoors has to offer from hunting and fishing, to camping, backpacking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, ATV’s, traveling, all surrounding spending time with friends and family. He has been guiding big game hunts since 2002 and it is the highlight of each year. When he is not guiding, he is a Certified Automotive Technician in Steamboat Springs.

Dylan Hicks was Born and raised in Maybell Colorado with a strong passion for the outdoors. Dylan has been hunting big game with his family since he was 3 years old. Gaining such early experience and knowledge hunting elk allowed Dylan to start Guiding at the age of 16. Although still young, Dylan knows elk, is an exceptional caller and guide. In the off-season Dylan spends time hunting Bobcats with his Cur dogs and also has a business building custom taxidermy pedestals with his dad and sister.
 
David Schwanke

David grew up on his parent’s ranch in Clark, CO, where his passion for the outdoors began. An avid outdoorsman, David’s early years were filled with adventures in the woods with his father, hunting, fishing, backpacking, snowmobiling and biking. Ever since he was old enough to harvest his own elk and deer, he’s been hooked on the sport and has guided big game hunts for over 10 years. David is a Master electrician and has an electrical contracting business in Steamboat.

Scott Belton

 Scott is a fifth generation Steamboat native. He grew up horseback camping in the Zirkel Wilderness and has a deep passion for the outdoors. He has guided hunters for 20 years, both packing in hunters on public land and guiding private land hunts. He is an avid archery hunter and loves to spend his free time camping, ATV riding, shed hunting and snowmobiling. After retiring from local government of 28 years, he started and operates two successful businesses. 

Adam Grimes

Adam is a Colorado native who has lived in Steamboat for 32 years and grew up just a few miles from Wolf Mountain Ranch. An avid outdoorsman, Adam loves hunting, fly fishing, camping, white water rafting and snowmobiling. Adam has been hunting since he was a young boy and has been a guide for the last 6 years. Adam lives in Steamboat with his wife Brittany and their 2-yr old son Brycen and is the assistant General Manager at the Ore House at the Pine Grove restaurant.
